Finger Painting Is Super Fun!
Residents were asked to decorate and paint two glass jars – using their fingers!
After some initial hesitation, residents set to work with gusto – creating flowers, desert scenes, bumble bees and various abstract shapes – focussing on the fun and creativity of this art form and bringing back some happy childhood memories.
Finger painting is super relaxing. It’s meant to be impressionistic or even abstract – and our resident crafters can certainly attest to that!
Once the paint was dry, they covered the lids with material & braiding – adding a button on top just to finish things off!
And hey presto – a beautifully decorated glass jar ready to be filled with sweets, chocolates, biscuits or anything that takes your fancy.
A feel-good activity that needs to be explored some more in the future 😊
